Proven Advice to Win Your War with Pimples and Enjoy Clearer Skin

By: Patricia Wagner

Acne may seem to some like a minor problem, but our society gravitates toward beautiful people. Having one's good looks destroyed by zits can cause emotional suffering too.

Acne doesn't just ravage faces but also shoulders and backs as well. This can be very traumatic to acne victims. If you feel as though pimples are making you ugly, that can make you very self-conscious.

Zits can come along at the worst of times and that can be really distressing. A quick way to make pimples disappear is an ongoing search for acne sufferers. Acne sufferers want to look normal and have healthy skin once again.

Medicines you can buy at the drug store are popular choices. It's frustrating when acne goes away for a while and then returns again. Many medications only treat the symptoms and not the root cause of acne.

Those who want you to try their over-the-counter acne products say they are very effective and they can be for some, but others wonder if the products really work all that well. People are wondering if there aren't some natural acne cures available today.

There are a number of natural remedies for clearing up zits and here are several.

1. Lavender oil

Apply lavender oil to pimples to help get rid of them.

2. Tea tree oil

This is a useful antibacterial and antifungal that's been around for a long time. Tea tree oil really works to fight infection and for this reason some people have found that it helps heal their acne condition. You can place it on your zits to help fight them. However, it has a very strong smell to it.

3. Toothpaste

Some acne sufferers claim toothpaste placed on a pimple dries it up when left on overnight. It has been effective for a number of people in reducing the swelling when left on overnight. You should pass this method by if you have unusually sensitive skin as it might irritate your pimples.

4. Colloidal Silver

Since this is a natural antibacterial, it can also fight acne and can be applied directly to your zits or taken in supplement form.

5. Lemon juice

You can apply lemon juice directly to a zit to help it go away. It can be placed on acne scars as well to reduce the redness.

6. Baking soda

Make a paste with a little baking soda and rub it on your face to exfoliate your skin. You can rub it into the affected areas for about a minute before rinsing it off.

7. Hydrogen peroxide

Although it is extremely drying, hydrogen peroxide has helped a number of people to have clearer skin.

These acne remedies have worked for other people and any or all of them might work for you too. Why not give one or more of them a try?
